I haven’t posted in a while. It’s been a full few weeks. This tends to be one of the busiest times of year in my job, I’ve been sick and my little Lily dog is having eye surgery this week to prevent her from going blind. It’s a good thing I’m on a diet, because I’m definitely going to have to cut back on a few things to pay for it. As it turns out, canine cataract surgery is EXPENSIVE, but what else am I going to do? She is totally worth it.
In other news, I’ve been cooking at home a lot more, which has really helped. As much as I like eating out, reality is that it is SO much easier to control what and how much you eat when you’re the one doing the cooking.
And, in the best news of all, I am around a month with no diet soda in the house. While I have to admit that I have broken down a couple times and had one when I was out at a restaurant, I am still pretty thrilled with my progress considering how much I was drinking. Iced tea and my new soda stream have been my saviors. I’m delighted that I really don’t miss having pop.
So, that’s the diet (and other) news from my corner of the world. I’ve not been doing bad with the eating, but I haven’t been so great at tracking and posting, so I really want to get back to that this week.
